Biography

I was born in 1957, and grew up in the small town of Wickford in the county of Essex, England and I am married with three children and three grandchildren.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to draw, but have only taken it as a serious hobby for the last 12 years. My other hobbies and interests are Bonsai trees and the occasional fishing trips with my grandson.

I am a self taught artist learning through trial and error, having tried several different mediums I mainly use pencil and occasionally I paint in watercolours. All my artwork is from photographs, which I use for reference, always trying to get as near to the photograph as possible. I have a full time job at the Case New Holland tractor factory, having been there since 1975, which leaves little time to draw from life.

If you have any questions or if I can assist in any way, please   and I will be glad to try and help.

I hope you enjoy looking at my artwork, best wishes,

David Carlile
